As we continue our Revival series, this week we focus on The Great Commission, the call to win souls for God’s Kingdom. Every child of God has a mandate to advance His Kingdom, which begins with recognizing and embracing our divine assignment. Saints, there is no joy or fulfillment outside of walking in this calling; no amount of career success or wealth can compare to the peace that comes with walking in alignment with God’s purpose and will for us.
In Matthew 28:19-20, the Lord Jesus gave us a clear command: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” (vs.19-20). This is not optional – it is a divine responsibility given to every believer. Ephesians 4:11-12 tells us that Christ gave “some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” This means the call to make disciples is not limited to church leadership; we too have a part to play. As we are equipped, we are meant to go beyond the walls of the church and spread the Good News to the world. This is why the Apostle Paul boldly declares in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” Saints, when we truly understand the power of gospel, we cannot remain silent! The gospel is the greatest news ever given to mankind – that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). The Lord Jesus Himself declared, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:18-19). This passage reveals that the gospel is not just limited to salvation – it is about transformation! It has the power to heal, deliver, and restore, and as believers, we have been equipped with everything we need to share it. Matthew 10:8 echoes this, instructing us to ”heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons.”
When Jesus instructed His disciples to proclaim, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 10:7), He also told them, “Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts” (vs.9). Why? Because true riches are found in the message of salvation. What they carried – the gospel – was far more valuable than any material wealth. We, too, carry a divine blessing when we go out to win souls. Jesus assured His disciples, “A worker is worthy of his food” (vs.10), meaning that when we engage in God’s work, He has already prepared divine provision and connections, for there is honour in serving Him. Church, we hold the greatest treasure – the Spirit, the wisdom, and the Word of God; it is worth more than silver and gold. And as we boldly step out to share the gospel, we begin to discover our God-given talents, step into our purpose, and encounter those whom God has assigned to our destiny. Let us, therefore, walk boldly in our calling, winning souls for Christ, and bring revival to the world.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the incredible price that Jesus paid on the cross for us. May we never take this gift for granted, but boldly step out and share the Good News with the world. Holy Spirit, empower us to walk in our divine calling, to win souls and fulfil the Great Commission as You have instructed us. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

This devotion is a powerful and timely reminder that winning souls is not just for pastors—it’s for all of us. In a world filled with uncertainty, people are searching for hope, and we carry the greatest treasure: the gospel. A word in season as revival starts with us. When Jesus gave the Great Commission, He wasn’t giving an option; He was giving a mandate. Too often, we focus on career success or material things, but true fulfillment comes from walking in our God-given purpose.
Now is the time to step out boldly, unashamed of the gospel, trusting that as we do God’s work, He provides everything we need. Let’s answer the call, win souls, and bring revival!
