About Us

Who we are

Glorious Church is a Word-based ministry founded by Pastors Tatenda and Palesa Makoni, in 2021. The church was born from the depiction of the Lord Jesus’ love for His bride.

He sought, above all else, to ‘… make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault’. 

As a church, we live our lives under submission to the Word of God and the guidance of His spirit.

Secondly, we believe and practice principles of discipleship, where believers are not only left as converts, but where they are transformed into faithful disciples of Jesus through systematic and targeted teaching, that will make them fit for the work of the ministry.

Lastly, we also aim to do ministry as was instructed by the Lord, caring for the under-privileged, utilising the gifts of the Spirit to minister to the church and to the world, raising leaders who will make a real and lasting impact in the world for the prevailing of the Gospel.

As a church, we are governed by core values that find expression in everything we do. From our leaders to the last number of our congregants, these attributes are alive and active in all our lives.
